What is the cut-off that decides that team rated should be unrated?
Me and a clanmate just played a game against 2 guys one was rated around 1715 and the other around 1650. At the time I was 1665 and my partner was just above 1700.
I was under the impression it only stops it from being rated if one player is more than 100 points below another.
Why would it not make this rated?

Did the game seem to upload correctly? I'm not sure what the cutoff is for team games, but for 1v1, it is 150 points, the difference at which the handicap starts to take effect.

Was the game handicapped? If not then an error must have occurred while the game was uploading.
same thing happend to me i was rated 1805 at the time, my friend 1849 and we played two 1780+ and we won the game but gained no points.
this wasnt the first time it has happend to me either

the game uploaded, I thought that at first too, it was listed as an advanced set-up game.

The one thing I don't get, although I understand partially why it's there, is why they put handicap on rated games in the first place. For the most part it seems the only reason you do quick match is to play rated against someone of your skill level.
I think handicapping rated games like that just takes the whole point away from quick match . It would be better IMO to have a cutoff and no one above/below that would be in rated games, unless you told it to in your options (default off). Just my thoughts...

It's still a relatively effortless way to get into a game, even if the game turns out to be uneven.

The last two rated games I played were team rated. I am rated 1695, and my partners were 1711 in the first game and around 1680 in the other. My team won both games, the first against some 1750 Ra ho's and the second against Ra and Hades, around 1720. Both of my games have been classified as unrated. I have never seen the 2,4 error before and do not have a firewall; neither did my team-mates. My team definitely did not enjoy a handicap.
Rated, bah.

Maybe they're unrated if you get random opponents and rated if you specifically team with someone using Create Team? That kind of takes away the point of rated games though. I got points in all my rated team games except one against 1620's or so which were too far below me.
