I think generalzing all kids and teens who play games into lifeless losers is a pretty dumb and ignorant stereotype, but that is just me.
Are some kids and teens who play online games idiots who would droptrick? Of course. Do some adults do the same thing? Of course. Don't forget about the adults who play games and are also lifeless losers. It isn't just everyone who is under 18.
What I tend to find is, for the most part, kids younger then 14 or so usually don't care about their online play whatsoever and just want to feel superior or something. Whatever, I don't care.
I also find that many people over the age of say 22 think that they are better then the majority of gamers and younger players on the internet because they are older and consider themselves more mature. This pompous attitude is not much better then the 12 year olds who do the same thing.
However, not all 12 year olds and 22 year olds are like this, just the ones who post stupid responses like all kids are lifeless losers or try to droptrick and cheat to make their ratings look better.
My main point is this, there are asses and idiots in every generation, it isn't regulated to a specific gender or age.
