Star Trek: Armada is a 3D RTS, and it is very easily modifiable. It isn't a matter of 2D vs. 3D, it is about the game's architecture, and if ES chooses to make the game easily modifiable.

It will be much easier to make mods for the new rts game. I used to make 3rd party units for TA:Kingdoms using 3do builder and a couple other programs, which, if somebody felt like it, could be figured to work for AoM. The models I've created looked a whole lot like the ones in the screenshots I've seen. Point being, we'll figure something out guys.

agh....damnit i sure hope it's not only 3 civs....cause then it'll be like red alert and other C&C's...gdi and nod...soviets and allies...it's just no freakin fun.at least 7 civs would be nice to have...thats what made me like the AoE series so darn much.
