how does a norse battering ram have 99% peirce armor? i mean its just 2 ppl holding a log with no armor, and the greek and egyptian capults both only have 89% and the seige tower its only 95%. Am i the only one that this doesn't make any sence too?!!! some serious balanceing needs to take place in the next patch!

Im not waryied about rams as i am with belista those things have a huge range and do a great number vs reg units i think that should be changes because i have seen 2 belista kill 1 ahmen in 1 hit and they keepts doing that with even more belista behind and they do even splash damage.

Look at the Unit Guide and the detailed information of Rams in this website. they are not half-naked. They are carrying a round shield at their back........that's why they have 99% pierce armor...

I have only 1 problem with them. They are too hard to kill. If I send 3-4 cav on a ram it will ALWAYS reach its destination and knocks down 2 houses before dieing. So it means they do not have to be that much protected and they are quite autonom units. I think they have the best path-finding in the game. But please! They should be stoppable like the eggy's ballista towers.
Pierce armor is OK.

If you have even 2 or 3 military units (except archers of course) 2 rams can be taken down before they do any real damage.
If you lose a house or two and you can't recover from that then you probably weren't doing all that well to begin with. And, I don't know who said it above, but if you attack 2 rams with 10 axemen those two rams will not kill a castle. Heck, they probably won't kill that house we were talking about.
And someone mentioned switching the ballista with the ram (like the greeks). Well, if you want to give the ballista as much crush damage as the greek catapult I'll take that deal any day. I'd much rather fight off heroic rams than heroic catapults.
As for the egyptian siege towers, I think they work very well. They live longer than rams to hack attacks (though not much) and they have a pierce attack (it's not great but it's something). Not to mention being able to transport units.
Each race has its own uses for siege just like anything else and they are all fine.

Given the fast that they have 99% pierce armor I'm guessing they are supposed to be something similar to a roman ram, not just 2 vikings with a log.

What a silly thing to complain about.
