Topic Subject:Greeks whats better- going to Classical with few vil. as soon as you can, or go later with more vils.?

Im mostly Greek player and want to know whats better. To build 8 vils. on food 2 on wood 2 on gold 1 on temple and than go to Classical, or build 5 vil. and go to Classical as soon as you can/have resources. Is it vorth it to research techs like hunting dogs or first two ec. upgardes in storage camp in archaic? Plz if your good Greek player help me .

Neither of those seems right to me, 5 is no where near enough, you want to have at least 15 vils before going classical. Some players make a few less, but most make more.

I suggest that you don't go to classical until you have the food resources piled up to do so. Keep constant production of villagers going until you do.
You should normally stock up enough resources to age before you hit the 25 pop limit. That's two houses, one temple, whatever number of gathering sites you had to make and about 24 villagers. You should get to this point by 5:30 for a strong 6:30 classical.
You can be faster to classical by making your resource collection and spread of villagers more efficient and can get to classical at 5:15 with 21 villagers consistently.

8 is NOWHERE near enough. I suggest you read the newbie guide by Zhaz, which can be found in the Ultimate AoM guide on my sig(or u can go to it from the aomh main page)
By few vills, it's usually meant 15~18, while by many vills, it's 20~25.
