Once i have downloaded patch 1.05, or any patch for that matter, do the changes in the patch affect single player games (non-online)? i rarely play single player anymore, but i was wondering if i did would the changes be implented there as well as on eso.

Yes, it does. The patch changes the data of your files, and both multiplayer and single player share the same data. The only difference with SP and MP is that instead of a computer, another human plays with you.
