I never had this problem until I downloaded the 1.05 patch and started playing on ESO. The game freezes during launch. It'll freeze when someone is dropping. When I say freeze, I mean FREEZE. No amount of alt+tabbing or ctrl+alt+del-ing will minimize this sucker. This is quite serious since I have WinXP and have ALWAYS been able to close out a program.
Quite distressing when I have to SHUT DOWN my computer manually, then it has to restart / scan disk / log in, blah blah.

I asked this question in this thread: http://aom.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/forums/display.cgi?action=ct&f=1,12647,,all and an ESO employee basically replied that their looking into it, but as of yet, they are not sure what the exact problem is. It's very troubling. It's happened many times to me the past week alone. Sucks big time...

Make sure your firewall is set to allow it access. You have to reallow it after each patch.

yea that has nothing to do with it,that only happens when you log in the first time after patch
