Okay, I have a few points to make.
A) I don't think that the Empowerment gives extra resources in a certain mine. If you look carefully when a villager drops off gold at an empowered drop site the gold mine loses the extra gold.
B)Priest empowerment isn't worth the pop unless you have a lot of vills gathering. Since the increase is only 10 percent you'll need 10 villagers working to break out even to just pumping another villager. You'll seldom have more than ten villagers on one resource except on food, and even then the advantages are not great.
C) The economic God powers are no better than a lot of other civs. Lure and great hunt are examples of this.
D) Monuments are an advantage an a downfall of the egyptians. The monuments are cheap, but make favor much slower then greek or norse. I see this as an equal tradeoff.
E)Free buildings are good, to a certain extent. You are not saving a lot, In fact the slower villager build rate makes them just as expensive as other civs ( They can't gather and build at the same time. )
I have always regarded eggy as the worst econ in the game, especially RA.
