Anyone noticed that some things in early AoM were very different, like look at this or the other ones there: http://aom.heavengames.com/gallery/e3-2001-film/aaf You can even get santa and snowmen! I posted this because I wanted to see what you guys think about it and if they should've kept it. You see many different units not seen in today's game like a stout stone like guy. The buildings rock as well

The only thing I liked was the unit-building scale. The buildings seemed much larger than the units. It doesn't seem you get that much in the finished product. Otherwise, everything looks like early renders. Very much an unfinished product at that point. I think that it is much more graphically pleasing as it is now.

The Santa stuff was just something ES did one year for Christmas instead of their usual screenshots. I t was never in the game.
