I personally do not like games that end in 30 minutes. Games that last between 45 minutes to one hour bring gaming satisfaction. I never play 1v1 only for the reason that every game tends to be an "ush" of some sort. This of course is based on the next paragraph.
When playing multiplayer games, if an outside or defensive player gets hit early, they will quit almost immediately, unless they always prepare for the “ush”. The result is a multiplayer game that ends before 30 minutes, with many players having wasted their time, since they never even got to see battle. I don’t know about the rest of you, but playing 4v3 or 3v2 normally results in a loss, if the enemy communicates and double teams one of the remaining players. Not that losing is a problem, since it is a game.
Perhaps a better question is: How many military battles, between troops (and not the villager hunt), equals a good time? The AOKTC games that I enjoy the most are the ones that require managing troops in battle, as well as creating the counters based on what the enemy tosses into the fray.
If a game lasted 30 minutes but involved many military skirmishes, I would be satisfied with that. Currently, the 30 minute games involve hunting villagers in order to disrupt the economy, blah, blah and blah.
