Normaly I sent these to the webmasters, but it seems but Email problems haven't gone away yet .

Hello Ladies, Gentlemen and webmasters;

Content Designer Karen "Scout" Sparks has chosen the top two Map Screen Shot Winners and a runner up! (Archangel - Hope she can pay for the extra prizes!) – Winners and Prizes posted Monday. (Hint: One of the winners is from the AOM Hispano Fan Community).

Suggestion: Look for a Microsoft Press Alert Monday, maybe about 9am PDT or so... – AOMX related.

Attached is the latest AOMX Box Cover from the AOMX Marketing department, believe David Cherry is the man behind the art.

Almost forgot! - Have some Logo Contest winners to post on Monday also.

From the Ensemble Studios Development Team:

From our AOMX Head Art Dude Lance Hoke:

- Added special Titan gates
- Added final Titan animations
- Final special effects pass

AOM Patch status from Producer Wally Wachi:

We won't be meeting about this until we feel ZBR (Archangel – AOMX) is in the bag, so nothing to report except that we will release a 1.07 patch prior to the XPack street date - and are "considering" some balance changes. (Archangel - We montior (Read: READ) the forums daily and have quite a list of things to check for bugs and changes, no need for those ES READ THIS! threads, but if it makes you feel better...

AOMX Designer Ian Fischer:

At this stage, the design team is spending most of the day in the playtest area, putting finishing touches on the singleplayer campaign and trying to invent new excuses to use when the (now much more clever) AI wins random map singleplayer games. (Ian had a picture to go with this – but it was of this dog and I couldn’t get it off the server tonight .

AOMX Programming, Rob Femier:

Programming wise we are fixing bugs in the xpack as we head to ship...

Bruce Shelleys West Coast Tour update:

Butts is highly complimentary of Ensemble Studios and the "Age" franchise, calling it his personal favorite among the "Big three RTS developers," including Blizzard and Westwood Studios. Butts discusses the addition of the new Atlantean race, 12 missions and the assorted features and advantages of the new race, including the ability to gather resources with no need for a repository, the repeat function and converting any units to hero units. The editor calls upon his personal interest in history to cite several of the inspirational references provided by Shelley in the demo, including the Titanomachy, and Plato's descriptions of the lost continent.

Butts also highlights the unique Titan gods, including their immense size, as impressive new elements. He describes the new god powers shown, including "vortex," "time shift" and the "Tartarian Gate." Butts concludes by writing that the game is roughly a month from completion, and that IGN will feature more coverage once a playable version is available.

It was scheduled for next Friday, but with me on vacation and sick, I will have to check on the materials, plus Elliot Chin, needs a few days to put all the materials together with his article.

Yes! Sweet,. Arch, will there be any fixes on smurfs? The X looks amazing just smurfs is really ticking many people off. I won't start like 8 'ES read this' threads about it (maybe 5 ) (jk) but can you atleast show some indication or is it a surprise?

When he mentions a press release, he's saying the winners of the contest will be mentioned in it. That's what he meant.

Since one of the prizes is a signed, glossy picture of ArchAngel , perhaps the extra prize should be a signed, glossy picture of Scout .

could be that we`ll learn something new about the release date in next week "Press Alert" from microsoft. Microsoft are the ones to market AOMX so a press alert by them will probably have to do with the release date. I say it will be early to the end of september.

I won't complain about Set from now until the patch is released. I'm sure they'll do something nasty to him lol

ha ha u dun think there will be a overpowered god after set.

My best bet is isis. FOx elitex's FH is very viable and works pretty damn good.

Of course there will be an overpowered god after Set, it will be whoever the #1 player uses, because as soon as the others see rec games of him they'll be inspired. But at least it will be easier to counter.
