OK these two games, Age of Mythology and Empire Earth, are both shaping up to be very cool games indeed. But one thing that has cuaght my attention is the similaritys between the two, I just read that AoM has the abilitiy to be able to use certain calamititys, EE also has this feature.

There are also alot of other things that are alike, what do you think of this or does it not worry you at all?

well, since the release of the two games are like a year separated, this doesn't really bother me.

EE should be out this summer while AoM isn't due until next year sometime. as for any other similarities... maybe that's the new trend *shrugs*

Well I don't really care because EE is more progressed since the production started it 1st so you can't judge on it.

I don't think I'll really like the way EE will turn out. I'm just waiting for AoM.

EE is to be released in late September, not in the summer.

I'm excited about the way EE is turning out. It's like a gift that I am slowly unwrapping and taking out of it's package only to be able to play with it in September. But I'm still over excited about it.

EE and AOM are both going to rock and I, personally, will get both of them!

I'd like to get both of them, however my poor little compy isn't going to survive with both, hehehe, so I'd have to get a new computer before playing them. I'd also like to move overseas and marry my partner. Either way, I'm a little stretched for money these days so might be enjoying both the games from a distance for awhile until I have my finances and life sorted out.

I think they're both going to be good.

While I know that ES will be doing a simply superb job with AoM, and it will certainly be a game that I purchase as soon as it is released, I am still rooting for EE

It will definately be fun to see how similar yet different these games are. They both represent evolution in the RTS genre, with different directors.

EE will show its stuff in September, and it looks to be pretty amazing. Historical-based, massive in scope.

AOM is a year out (guessing), smaller scope, fantasy elements.

Yet each has similar traits. EE has roots in AOE, so I expect it to "feel" more like AOE than AOK; AOM will "feel" more like AOK.

As for calamaties, they are in *lots* of games these days...

I personally expect EE to be an awesome game, *IF* they get the balancing right. With such a broad span of time, it is going to be very hard to do so. I guess it is a good thing they have so many people testing it
