It's true! First I will present the six screenshots that I have, then I will tell you how you can do the same thing! Here are a few notes about the scenario before you view the screenshots: - I played as Isis, my friend played as Oranos. Also, water units' "Z" coordinates change to match the level of water or land. Water acts like a plain of land when they are placed on it. This is set this way so that the water units don't move from the ocean floor. They actually "snap" to the water. Titans, or any unit, need to have the exact "Z" coordinates as water units to order to allow them to float on water. Doing this will also allow them to In order to edit "Z" coordination you'll need to open the bar file that contains the data of all of the units. This would be the "data2.bar" file. You have to open the bar file with a BAR explorer. (I think there's on in the downloads section of AOMH. When you open the bar file find the line "Naval.Unit.EStatsCore.Data" and scroll down until you see "Z" coordinates for the Leviathan. It will be marked clearly as "Coor.Z.LEVIATHAN.3> Save the file and you should be able to move your titan in and out of any level of water. If you have problems with this, I will see if I can send you my version of the file. Enjoy! [This message has been edited by Halo (edited 10-27-2003 @ 11:24 PM).]
- The game played between
- Both players have population over the amount that they should because this map was first edited to allow some units to be duplicated. (This was done because my friend wanted to play a long game with lots of battles, not because either of us are newbs--well, he's a newb, lol.)
- All villagers were set to 0 population, towers were set to cost 2 population, citizens were set to 1 population, manors were allowed a limit of 10, houses were allowed a limit of 20, towers were given a plus 10 limit, and migdols and palaces were given no limit. This was done because, again, my friend is a mega-newb.
- The game that was played never advanced past Mythic Age because the Secrets of the Titans tech was disabled. The reason why both of us were able to obtain Titan Gates was because our wonders turned into them as soon as we placed their foundation. This was done to make the Titan Gates cost 1000 of each resource instead of only 800. (To do this you have to make your own triggers.)
- See below the screenshots for an explanation for how this worked.
Egyptian titan fights near the cost.
Egyptian titan pursues an Atlantean fire ship into the sea.
Egyptian titan wades through the water.
Egyptian titan sends Atlantean vessels to the ocean floor.
Egyptian titan sends Atlantean vessels to the ocean floor (continued).
Egyptian titan exits the sea while taking a blast of fire from behind.
Now, in order to get titans to wade through water, you have to give them a "floating" ability by editing their "gravity stats". Basically what the gravity stats do is set the "Z" coordinates of units when they're on a certain terrain. For those of you who have no idea what "Z" coordinations are, they mean "up and down." A good example of "Z" coordinates would be the flying units, they maintain a constant "Z" coordinate of 6. All water units do the same thing, they actually hover over the land, but they can only wade in the water (obviously).
