Ok, here is how it goes. Since i am not able to buy the full version, i downloaded the trial of AOMX. Now as my connection is ISDN (64 kbps) i couldn't download it in less that 14 hours, therefore i used Go!Zilla downloader, so i could split it in 7 and 7 hours. But when i downloaded the trial and tried to install it. It reads the data of the file but cannot extract them. For instance it sais: "The contents of the file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are trying to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify it's integrity and try again."
As you can see, i spended 15 hours possibly for nothing. Now i am asking if there is ANY way to fix this corrupted archive.
NOTE: "Easy" solutions like "Buy the full game" and "Download it again" are not an option. This needs to be fixed.

First of all, don't you think it has NOTHING to do with AOM?Or any other game, for that matter. If you have a corrupted executable you can read in some editor and KNOWING PE format TRY to check boundaries, common headers etc. Also, if this is a self-extracting archive it would have pretty simple structure, I suppose based on common sense, common for all self-extracting archives created by the same program. So you can compare good archive and bad archive. Byte by byte. Figure out where data starts and make sure that part before is the same in terms of code, address table etc. However, you data part of the file might be, and chances are that 99.99% is, corrupted as well... And you can do nothing about it. Only download trial again. Or check local forums and see if anyone downloaded trial in Archangel'sk, take you hard drive and ask him/her to copy it.

When a file is corrupted, is corrupted, but you can try to ask a friend with DSL to download it and put it on a CD, or buy a magazine that has the demo on the CDs.
