3 recorded games of myself fully reviewed and picked through, an inside look at how I think during a game.
2 Game clinics of premium subscribers to be drawn randomly on the first friday of every month.
As well as helpful hints and tips to overcome all of the latest strategy trends throughout the ranks of players.
On top of this as more people start to subscribe to this I will be able to put more time into all of this and you will see more and more new articles, reviews, and game clinics. As well I have a few other small things planned that could possibly really help people get better, but at the moment just don't have the time to test it out.
I started this program in November and so far have recieved nothing but good response from the small amount of people who have subscribed. I'm hoping to expand the user base simply because at the moment the amount of money I'm recieving from this program doesn't come near to justifying the amount of work it is actually taking. Despite that I'm going to continue on with it no matter what.
The cost:
1 month subscription-3.50 US$
2 month subscription-6 US$
3 month subscription-8 US$
6 month subscription-15 US$
9 month subscription-20 US$
1 year subscription-24 US$
Why do I have to charge for this?
Well this project has proven to be very time consuming on my part. I only have so much free time to spend on AoM and I prefer to spend most of it playing. However as I get more and more people subscribing to my premium service I will be able to afford to work less hours at my real job, and put more time into this service.
If you wish to subscribe you can send the money to me via paypal, my paypal account is ksjoseywales@shaw.ca In your payment please include your ESO name, your real name, and the email adress you would like me to contact with all the information in regards to this program.
Here's just a brief example from the very first game review I performed for my november premium service, this is just over 1 page out of 7 written for this particular game.
You can find the recorded game here This section of the game review starts somewhere shortly after the 14:30 point or so and strictly looks at the military aspects of the game (I covered my economy decisions earlier in the review). Again after he retreats I run my army away from the gold mine, silly move right? Not this time. This time I saw his villagers running down towards my tc and had a bit of a suspicion that he was going to try and sneak one of my tcs out from under me. I checked at this point and sure enough he still had cease fire so there was nothing I could do to stop him from stealing the tc if he wanted to, but I could certainly force him into using his cease fire on something that I knew I could recover from due to the tcs location (behind my base away from all his military buildings). After having lost one of my secondary tcs I decide that I had better take frost, I feel that frost will give me the best chance to take back that tc because I can attack it and if I get in trouble elsewhere with his whole army I can always frost it to buy me enough time to take out the tc and get my own up. 18:50 I decide I had better disrupt his economy a bit more, this causes him to withdraw enough of his army that I can start spamming hill forts. I don't actually end up doing much in the way of raiding, but I do manage to distract a decent amount of his army for long enough to get my hill fort up which will be what ultimately helps me to get back my third tc. Basically this is my chance, I have some buildings in between his army and his tc, my hope is that this will buy me enough time to take down his tc, and as a last ditch resort I always have frost to save myself if he overwhelms me too quickly. I couldn't be more pleased with the results, I lost minimal troops, minimal troops, managed to take out his tc very quickly, and didn't have to use my frost GP on him. 22:00 he uses bronze on his army while trying to get up a fortress, this is a pretty obvious place for me to use frost on his army, we have roughly the same size of armies but his is better (with bronze/better upgrades) as well if he manages to get that fortress up I can kiss the whole north section of the map good-bye because he will easily control it all with the fortress, ranged siege and his superior army. Now normally I'm one to try and get a few fortress' up around a guy after I've frosted his army however in this case I felt I would be much better off just trying to kill as many units as I could due to the fact he would still have 30 seconds of bronze left on them after my frost ran out and that is easily enough time to do a lot of damage with a bronzed army. After the frost runs out I know I have to keep pushing to take back as much ground as I can, I'm still having gold problems (good map control on his part), and really need to take over the centre of the map again. It also doesn't hurt that I have a mostly RC army and he has a mostly toxote army which means an easy victory for me. 24:30 at this point I decide that my best bet is just to secure the centre gold mine with hill forts and try to raid his gold mines like crazy. I can't afford to just sit back and boom because his economy is likely a lot better than mine by this point, as well I can't afford to go all out offensive because my economy isn't big enough to support that for very long. I check the north gold mines first as I know he's had villagers up there working not too long ago, but I find nothing. After that I check another one south of the middle and find he isn't on that one. Finally I check the most obvious one which is right by his second tc. Fortunately for me that mine had run out already which left only one choice, and sure enough he was all over that gold mine. Once I started raiding that gold mine I knew he had to go to one of the other two available to him, sure enough I found him on the south middle gold mine with a bunch of villagers almost right away. One thing I always have troubles with is keeping track of where my ravens are after I get new ones, fortunately I found one to put on the southern most gold pile to keep watch, this left him only two spots to mine gold without me knowing about it and really gave me an advantage. To be honest for the price I don't think you can go wrong, I've had plenty of people tell me that already they can see a difference in their game. I also sent all the materials from my first month to Socvazius and if he had the chance to check out what I sent him perhaps he can let you know what he thinks of what I have to offer. That's just a brief example of the very first review I did for this program, things are steadily progressing and getting better every review I think.
Many thanks to Socvazius for allowing me to post this on the AoMH boards.
Check out all my recorded games, strategy articles, and other great features at http://ksjoseywales.nodecam.com/index.php?cat=1 I know it's ugly as anything, but it works.
