When was the last patch? October? There are clearly not only fine balance issues with the game but some blatant bug. That 99% bug should have been patched a week after it was discovered. Any of you play WC3? The first month after that came out, they had a patch like every 2 weeks until it was right. Same with Frozen Throne.
Zeus, Odin, Ra, Gaia and some others really need to be juiced up. I know that it is a hell of a lot harder to balance the 12 Civs of Aom:TT than it is to balance the 4 civs of Warcraft, but still... at least patch the glaring bugs in a timely fashion...

ESO doesn't make patches.

Flames is right. ESO doesn't really do anything except match you up with an opponent, and anything that goes with that.

I love newbies who whine with their first few posts.

Ok Ok I meant ES not ESO. And if it's not ensemble that made the game then Microsoft or whoever. Abbreviation misspelling aside, the questions stands. I'm 1700 so not a complete newb, and yes I am whining. But at least I'm whining about something that can realistically be ameliorated. I mean, like I said Blizzard fixes their junk when it's broken. ES needs to raise the bar.

By a newbie I meant your new to the forum, not to AOM. And besides, you already sound like an all too familiar forumer.

Thats easy to answer:
They have made their money out of AoM and AoT and are waiting for the christmas sales to see whether its going to be worthwhile to support the minority of fans that play online. Its a constant balance of doing just enough to keep the online gamers happy without spending too much money so the benefits (loyal fan base ie more automatic sales for the next game) outway the costs.
Now Im not saying ES will forget us altogether but I wouldnt expect as many or as frequent patches for AoT as there was for AoM. And besides which ES' organisation is a shambles as I still havent received my Forum Giveaway prize yet (despite 5 mails to Archie and 2 msn msgs to matty) and not expecting it at all now.
Its a shame really as with the proper Support AoM/AoT could have been one heck of a great game but now its merely good- let down by several factors including bugs poor interface (ESO) and poor rating system.
In fact I have already asked Santa to bring me TFT as the online experience is far greater than AoM/AoT even though I consider AoM/T the far superior game.

Do you folks realize this game took a few years to be released? And its still not complete. I suppose they could spend 6 years making it, patching it, balancing it, then release it. Just think you could play aom for the first time in 2008

The main thing that confused me was this statement they made about there not being enough days until the xmas holidays to produce a patch. That was over a week ago. As far as I know it's totally normal to work right up until the 23rd December, if not Christmas Eve, so what on earth did they mean? Do they all get month-long holidays or something?
