I was just wondering if there was a better way to to chat to allies then giubg into the "communicate" button at the top of the screen and clicking on the "Allies"?
I seem to remember in AoC days...if I wanted to send a message to my allies. I would hit enter, to bring up the message bar... then I would put a semi-colon and then the message.
Example
; How you guys doing? Need any food I have 1000 extra.
Does that work in AoM or Titans?
I'm one of those guys that like to talk to my opponent if he does something clever. I hate the idea right now, of having to take the extra time of bring up a screen and then making sure, that the "All" button is pressed, then tell my message, THEN clicking the "Allies" button so that my private messages to my allies aren't told to everybody.
So, is there an easier way?

You could possibly make a hotkey for it. I'll have a look at the interface to see how changing chatting recievers works.

When you don't add anything in front of your chat message, it goes only to your allies. If you want it to go to everyone, start the message with a * character. For example, type in *Nice try at taking that town center. If you want a message to go only to enemies, I think you can use a # in front of it, for example type #999. It's best never to go look at the "who to chat to" screen at all, just use these characters.
