Yeah, but his animals are crap!!! lol, I used to whine about Set a lot, but I do think he needs a *little* boost. There is no reason to choose Set over other Eggy IMO

You might already know, but I just checked the weekly stats at jeux-strategie and Set has the highest winning ratio of all gods (53.3%) - and that is for all players' games, not only experts. Interestingly enough, it is the least played God (2.8%).

I was playing Loki vs. a Set opponent this morning. I sent one Einherjar to take out the hyena that I had spied, cuz it was posted up near a gold mine. The Einherjar blew his his horn while the hyena attacked, and before he could even strike a blow to the hyena, it died. The hyena took about 9 hp from the Einherjar. Now if that isn't weak sauce, I don't know what is.

I think the problem isn't that Set is bad, but that his Animals are by and large quite useless. You can scout, sure, but that's about it. So much for the Animal God.

Set is still stronger than Norse. No matter how much the animals are nerfed, the simple fact that they can f*** with your economy in archaic makes them effective. You don't have to really fight with the animals in archaic, you just harass villies, ulfies, and oracles with them. Set still has all the free goodies that all Eggy get, and he still has mercenary cheese. Set is just a lot weaker than Isis and Ra. Norse need more of a boost at this point than Set does IMO.
