Well....build orders are not a great idea to begin with. Your needs change with the map, your opponent, and the type of game you're playing. You have got to be versitile to win at the higher rankings.
That being said...It's never a good idea to stream 12 villagers to food, then 4 to wood, then 5 to gold. I find that by sending them out over a period of time helps to balance your econ. This by no means is a build order, but just an example to illustrate my point: As Zeus, I'd pop out 6 villagers to my food source, if I went hunting dogs, I'd pop one to wood, one to gold, then slowly alternate there. When I feel comfortable with my wood and gold growing at levels that will get me a temple building by 3:30-4:00. As the greeks, you'll need a good bit on food. Then you're golden to hit the next age.
Any how, to sum it up...don't use a set build order, manage your econ to fit your current needs. Balance out where your villis go early on, it makes a huge difference. Then just play to the style you like best. Also, remember you can tweak your econ while you're aging. Playing Poseidon, you'll probably want more on gold and a little less on food if you intend to do some heavy raiding early on.
