*****Part 02 has been added*****

Today, after looking through the weekly screenshots, I realized that there are alot of interesting little things that will be in the game that some people might miss! fearing that there could be a someone without some of my information, I created this list. Each entry has a title above it and a caption below it. Here you can find anything ranging from the terrains, gaia objects, speculations, and uncomplete units and missed buildings. The list will be updated weekly, as the new screens come out. Mostly written from a scenario designer's point of veiw.

The Screenshot Compendium

Deep Water

This is (probably) the "water, deep" of AoM

Land Rocks

These are rocks that are found on land, unlike shore rocks below

Palm Trees

These are the Palm Trees of AoM. no big surprises.

Plant

one of the plants in AoM, undoubtably simmilar to the plant of AoK.

Plant

Another Plant, see above

Plant

Another Plant, see above

Shallow Water

The "Water, Shallow" of AoM

Shore Rock

seemingly a rock that only goes on the shore

Rock

Probably the same as the other "rock" but a better picture

Norse Tower

A Norse Tower, no clue why this isn't in the "buildings" section

Mountain

This is an odd object that units are seen going around, not very clear in the screenie. Possibly a mountain or cliff.

Damaged Tower

A tower, probably damaged by enemy forces. nice fire animation.

Elevation

A great example of elevation in AoM, very nice.

Fish

Probably used by fishing boats

Mist

I am of the opinion that this is mist, although it could be simple desert

Unbuilt Building

This picture shows the foundation for a building, as well as the female villager

Waterfall

Arguably the best eye-candy we have seen so far. I pray they will be in the editor. Notice the lighting

Fish

More Fish

Waterfall

Another waterfall. Notice the different angle and lighting

Zebra

Gaia animals for AoM

Reeds

Nice plant to put in and around swamps and lakes

Shallows

Great looking shallows, as well as the wading units and dead one.

Turtle

Off at the very edge of the screen, this could be a Myth unit or Gaia object. either way it looks cool

Zoom

This picture clearly shows the zoom feature of the game. The camel is much bigger than in other shots.

Footprints

The units leave footprints in the sand. It might be the time of day, but this sand looks different.

Grass

Simple, basic grass.

Alligator

A nice Gaia animal, they were cool in AoE.

Flowers

likely a Gaia plant.

Lily Pad

Great eyecandy for water scenes

Greek Mining Camp

Why isn't this is the greek buildings section?

Rain

Some may argue that the whitish streaks in this shot are rain. Possibly only appears during the lightning God-Power.

Myth-Unit

I think this is a Myth unit because it was near grey troops. Notice the grey dots

Sunset

Notice how the colour is different at one end from the other. Conclusive evidence that the sun crosses the sky during the game

Gold Mine

The AoM style gold mine

Lumbercamp

Possibly the egyt lumber camp as it was near trees. Not really detailed enough though. it is not an early age mining camp, as there was the current one elsewhere in the picture

Road

The desert road in AoM

Sand

Sand. Desert. Dune.

Woodpile

What are all of these little wood piles for? do the villagers pile their wood as they cut and then carry it back?

Lighting

nice, big, pic. A prime example of lighting in AoM. notice the torches on the fortress lighting the building? There is even argument that they are lighting up the water at the top. I hope the firelight flickers, that would be cool

Raft

Yes, the monkey! but more importently, the raft. Can it move or does it stay in place as eye-candy. It would be muchos cool if you could have a marooned sort of thing going on.

Fish

Very good looking fish, they dive underwater well. I like the colour too.
Fish

Weird looking fish, they have flat heads and look pretty bad. Two triangles glues together

Underwater

Hopefully evidence that you can place terrain underwater like in EE. Even if not, the island effect is very, very, cool.

Beatle

Weird bug thing, almost definatly a MU. where is its colour?

Diverse Palms

Notice how pretty the palms look? all differnt kinds

Hippo

A little small. Hippos are cool, and it gives the guy who makes the FPH mod an easier time

Potted Palm

I am going out on a limb here, but I think this is a potted palm.

Elk

deer, moose, whatever. anyway, sweet eye-candy. animals are good.

Norse Temple

I don't know about you, but I think this is the Norse Temple. In the screen there is a gaint walking away from it.

Pine Forest

nice mix there, I hope it is automatically snow pine when placed on snow

Snow Road

A bit vibrant green there, no? Anyway this is, I think, a snow road. On the topic, the minimap green snow ruins alot of effect. I think it should be an option instead of a forced thing.

Water

More water. probably at a differnt time of day, but I somehow got it into my head that it was lighter because it was by snow

Grass Clumps

If you look at this picture you can make out tiny clumps of grass. I hope they are a seperate item.

Ruins

Maybe a destroyed building, but this also could be a ruins object.

Whale

Save the Whale! animals rock

Terrain Fade

Another big one. Look at how the snow fades into sand. very nice, although very unrealistic.

Lumbercamp

No clue what this is. not a house or mining camp. It is probably a better candidate for lumbercamp.

Pigs

More Animals! adds great detail to a city

Sheep

Very cool. White sheep were getting old, plus it stands out better against the desert

Tower

What on earth is this? A watch tower probably. Also, small chance of it being a monument.

Underbrush

Cool, fallen palm leaves. Maybe cut down. Very nice, although it probably will not be a seperat unit.

Part 02

I'm glad people like this so much! I have added cropings from the screens Thunder brought back, as well as some of the very first screens. If the image is blurry, this doesn't relate to AoM graphics, simply camara problems.

God - Hero Bar

This bar shows what hero and god you are using, compare it to the other two simmaler pictures.

Resources

Allthough we have learned there is now a fifth section to this area, poulation, this still lets you examin the four resource logos

Minimap

An older veiw of the AoM minimap, note how well it displays elevation and terrain.

TC Commands

These are the TC commands avalibe, presumably, in the Olympic age. There is a create villager button, as well as a few techs.

TC Icon

This is the icon for the TC, you can see it keeps the name "town center."

God - Hero Bar

Notice how there is a differnt hero, but the same God? you can probably select your hero at the start, each one have advantages and disadvantages.

Hero

The Hero during a cutscene. Frankly, the cinimatic feature of AoK map editing is simply astounding. Much work will now be poured into making good movies. We'll have to add a new reveiwing catagory for it!

Hero Commands

These are the only two known hero command icons. Observe that one of them is the same as the favor icon shown above.

Unit Stats

This is pretty much what the units information area says as of now, this is a greek hero BTW.

Victory Message

The message you recive at the end of the game, if you win

Animal

Haven't decided what animal this is, maybe an elk or cow.

Mouse

As you can see, AoM will stick with the classic age series stlye cursor.

Objectives Screen

This area shows your in scenario objectives, the same area as for the victory message

Cutscene

Another part of the Greek cutscene, a hero delivering a speech to his men. Just imagine the implications!

Snow Road

The snow road of AoM. very nice.

Dark Minimap

As you can tell, the minimap gets darker at night. This screen is also zoomed in a little more.

Hero of Zeus

The third hero of Zeus we have seen yet.
Someone who knows about greek mythology should try and decipher the names

Animals

Here are more Gaia animals, the only ones I am sure of are the pigs on the far right.

Foundation

An excellent veiw of a building be constructed. Very realistic.

Rotate

This minimap shows the games rotate feautre when compared to the above entry "minimap."

Villager Commands

These are the commands that can be given to a villager, build economic, build military, and build Mythological? Or repair?

Elephant

A veiw of the Gaia elephant

Fisherman

Sorry about the quality, this depicts a villager fishing. Speaking of which, in the editor, it would be cool to be able to place villagers under the animation of each task. It would really add to city scenes to have fishermen walk around with fresh caught fish.

Minimap

The most current minimap. It it a large map or just zoomed way out (in?)

Turkey

A Gaia Turkey

Rain

That rain again! And it is once more during a thunderstorm. Probably a by-product of the God Power

Road

In the same picture, we see another type of road.

Display Instructions

The area where in game chat messages and display instructions commands will be displayed

Giant

The new Giant.

Fire Giant Icon

The icon for the Fire Giant MU.

Firepit

Hopefully a firepit, although it might be a dead fire giant.

Pig

See the "Bacon!" thread.

Fence

I hope this is evendence of a fence in the game, even if not, the pigpen is cool.

Hippo

A better pic of the Hippo

Cliff

The cliffs in AoM look much better.

Underwater

Look at how the prow of the boat is visible underwater. Very cool.

Hunting

A norse villager hunting an elk that was killed

Snow Rock

A rock to put in the snow scenes

Norse Temple

Is this more evidence of a Norse Temple, or are they both a Gaia object? either way...

Greek Tower

Guess Chris hasn't gotten around to it yet

Lillypad

The true lillypad, great for water scenes

Sheep

White sheep, not new.

This will be updated soon. Thank you for reading!

Did I thank HG for their efforts? Great work guys.

The croppings are just MSP, anyone could have done them.

IN FLANDERS FIELDS

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Lest We Forget

Great work, spitfire!

*kisses my ADSL modem*

I think it's a horse (we can see the greek hero riding on it in one of the E3 movies).

Nice, just one thing.

Some of the pics in part two are from VERY early screenshots, and many uses the AoK icons. (For example, the AoK-Architecture icon is used for TownCenter in your post)

Also the res pics are the same, at elast food & wood.

I'm pretty sure these will all change, as could names etc do.

Also, I don't understand that hero-god bar. I've always been under the impression that the firs twas the player name. This as you builds your heroes, not start with them. (except for the egyptians, if that's still actual)

PLEASE READ POST 18!

ALSO, YOUR GOD-HERO BAR IS WRONG. IT'S MOSTLY LIKELY: PLAYER NAME > GOD WORSHIPPING. HAVING A HERO NAME THERE IS STUPID. YOUR NOT ALWAYS GOING TO HAVE A HERO.

Maybe now you won't ignore me

Yeah, but I think it is a female villager wearing a brown shirt, oh well.

I think there is a possibility that the God - Civ bar only applies to scenarios. Then again, ES could just be using Greek names.
