Alittle while ago people were talking about dragons in AOM , is this why??? in this screenshot on the bottom ;eft corner there appears to be a dragon....or if it is not then what is it?? . It looks like the dragon belongs to the Egyptians. I am not sure if anyone has noticed this yet? u guys prabably have though......
yes, most here have seen it....It is a lizard creature...no idea what the specific name was. Although I haven't heard of dragons in egyptian mythology(then again, my knowledge of mythology is very limited).

Are you sure it was cut?

First off- it's Norse not norseman. Second- it was Egyptian not Norse. And Third- it's not a dragon, it was a semi-humaniod lizard.
ya, that was back in the days when ES made the boats, big!

The very first thing that caught my eye in the first AoM screenshot I saw was the awesomely realistic size of the ships. And now its gone...I should have known they'd screw up on navy again.
And lizardmen/dragons are cool too, I can think of many purposes for them. At least leave them in the editor....

Ok, I myself never hear about dragons. I'm sure if they really were in the game, than someone at HG would update units page!
But they havn't done that yet!

i wouldnt say they screwed it up, they probably down sized them for the same reason they did with AoE and AoK...path finding reasons...there so bulky that it would be hard for the AI to move the boats...so its all in good reason.

i never liked the dragon anyway.
he looked goofy
It's like watching a flock of clown-like apes trying to navigate a ship, even though the ship has in fact been stranded on some kind of reef for about 7 years and none of the apes have noticed it yet. -Drahnier on OD moderation.

It's almost impossible finding new units in old screenies... kinda like searching for hidden treasures in the main street.
I'm glad they took away that strange lizzard. (aka Barney)

Maps with rivers that are two screens wide in order to fit gigantic ships in them are not a lot of fun to play on. You just end up having to scroll around a lot more and lose your units all the time. As good as our water looks, it looks the best when it's near shore. Water out in the middle of the ocean looks like, well, water. It's a little boring to look at (even in real life). It's not nearly as much fun to fight out in a featureless, open expanse of water either.
We are all for realistic-looking graphics, and that includes scale, but the game has to be fun and easy to play first.

Players often ask for realistic scale in buildings and ships without realizing how that can actually make the game harder to play.

I still think you should have a boat terrain object sort of thing you can walk on to do RPG scenes, oh well.
what the hey! ive never seen that shot b4! jeeze. oww well, hopeflly ES still had the art for that lizard man in the scen editor, even if it didnt do anything....
