Ok, i've won 7 games and lost one. 4 of them resigned after i took down their towncenter, and most of there population. And 3 just resigned about 30 seconds into the game. In the end my rating was 1631. Then i lost . I had to resign because i had to get off the computer. So after my towncenter was destroyed, i resigned. But i put up a rather good fight. Got more food and wood, and had more villagers and buildings and some other stuff. But after that my rating went down to 1595.
So my question is... How come when i win my rating only goes up by a few points, but when i lose (not that badly) it goes down by 40 points? How does the rating system work????

IIRC, it depends on the rating of your opponent. If their rating is significantly lower than yours and you lose, then you lose alot of rating.
