If you read the manual or watched the tutorial, you would of found out Egypt constructs Monuments built by laborers to gain favor.

Most people will build the monument upon going from archaic to classical age. But if you plan on staying in classical then build it earlier if you are gonna use myth units. But Almost all egyptian players try fhing (fast heroicing) for migdol units and seige. A fh would be anywhere from 7:30-8:30, slap a migdol and seige shop down by more gold, take another tc right away.

You know what, I've played many games against egyptians and in postgame if i lose or win they always seem to have a larger net favor gain in the end. I believe monuments may gather slowly but they are constant so this makes the egyptians better since they don't have to use vills to pray, fight constantly (which you should anyways) or require settlements. Some monuments even come with special bonuses which depends on your god like Isis can prevent god power usage within its range or Ra has cheaper and stronger monuments. This probably helps out egyptians even better in long games.
