Okay...got some questions...
When going FH should you break the rule of never having the TC idle? I'm thinking that if you're constantly pumping out villagers and dwarves once you reach classical aren't you going to be using up some of the resources that you need for advancing to heroic quickly?
Sam...you go 6:55 heroic with Odin, do you recommend the same for Thor? Will the econ be strong enough?
This question has nothing to do with FH, but want to ask while I've got your ears. While reading up on using the hotkeys and using them for quickly creating military guys, it got me to thinking how much should I be using hotkeys for quickly producing military and how much AQ-ing. Right now from classical through the rest of the game I keep AQ on and just switch up what I'm creating as needed, but I do think you lose a certain amount of flexibility that way, and it also slows you down when you've got 3-4 barracks creating RC and you need to switch over to TA...also, doesn't having your barracks on AQ affect your hill fort unit's production if they're also on AQ? Is it more efficient and more flexible to group your barracks, forts and temples each to a separate number...like all barracks 1, all forts 2, etc and then use your hotkeys to create troops as you need them?
I've heard of Thor having advantage on water, but I NEVER engage in water battles, especially in 3 vs 3 games, I figure there are too many people fighting for limited fishing spots. I might build 2-3 war ships and if they get destroyed I just switch over to farming. I always feel like I don't want to get bogged down fighting on the water and end up using resources I need for developing my econ and the land troops. What advantage does thor have on water? and what strat should I use on water? I mean I know to build a dock right off and put a lot of villies on wood and a few on hunting if available and some on gold and crank out the fishing boats and then go for a second and maybe a third dock, but what strat for maintining control of the water without using up too much of my resources on it?
