I'm just wondering? Are there going to be conversions or the priest/monk type unit? Anyone know?

As far as we know, there aren't going to be any preist-like units in AoM, although those things worshipping the pharoah might be some. I think that this is good because do you want to spend 300 food and 20 favour on a fire giant just to have it converted? I didn't think so.although they could just make it so that you can't convert MU's
You know that newbie you played who insisted on Black Forest? Who dragged you out on a 6 hour long game without once attacking? Hi Proud member of the FPH clan. Proud Winner of Dare's first funny sig award.

If there wasn't a prist guy, then who heals. Maybe the hero could heal, or the units would just slowly heal themselves.

I remember an ES dude cackling with glee in responce to this question a few months ago. He didn't mention whether or not there would be priests, just that they've done something cool in this aspect of the game.
Many have speculated that converting and or healing is a hero unit ability...which would be awesome.

I'm really quite sick of the conventional priest stuff of convert and heal that we've been seeing since AoE.
I'm not quite sure what Priests should do, but the concept of yelling at enemy soldiers in battle and having them turn around and start killing their friends has never appealed to me.
The concept of sinister evil priests would be cool. Like, they make people spontaneously combust, turn into sheep a'la Warcraft, that sort of thing.
