has anyone noticed that there really arent any good 1650-1700's? todays 1700 was last years 1640. it is so easy to pop on a rated game and beat some1 higher then u. the quality of players has dropped trememndously, all though the same # of experts are on aot. plz state u opnion.

As long as aom remains forgot by eso then the people playing it will gradually decrease... until theres a point where finding good games (or even just games) will be soo diffikult... and all people will leave.

well not rly, it was but know its not, to get the top thousand u have to be like 1750 again or something instead of lame 1730 xD, many more players, but i still agree i guess, still does seem easy

I know what you mean. I played a 1670 Loki player who didn't know how to link walls and advanced at like 6 minutes. He had like 4 hersir in archeic before advancing =/

He could have been booming and not linking walls on purpose due to some sort of plan (it seems unlikely though). Have you ever considered that he may have been using the search rating adjustment thing (I can't remember what it's called)?

As someone who's been playing this game for over two years I'm not certain it has got any easier to achieve certain ratings. It is easier to get into the top 1000/100/whatever because there are fewer players, but a lot of the remaining players are experienced and you don't have as many newbies playing because the game isn't so popular, so I don't see why it should be easier to get a good rating (plus I was over 1700 a year ago, I doubt I would be now).

Why does it matter? Higher ratings still mean higher skills, and lower ratings still mean lower skills.

no fox is right. top 1000 is like 1749 now. a month ago it was 1730's.

You have just improved, i don't think the game has gotten less active though.

We all know more rating more skills either at 1300 level or at 1700 or w/e but what they say is true; todays 1700 was yesterday's lower... They mean that in the past more competitive games and people were available online

It seems like a lot of players who perhaps got the game last holiday season, are now coming on ESO. At least there are a lot of new to the game players on-line now.

FAILURE is not an option, it comes bundled with the software.

I agree. There's also many players online that have 100+ games played, but none of them were rated. There was one guy who had played 250 games, and hadn't played a 1v1 rated ever. (or at least never won one.)

i'd say its the other way round. todays 1600 is last years 1700. rating counts for more now as only the dedicated and professional players stay with the game.

If it's easier to get higher rating now... Then I must suck even worse than I thought, because I can't get over 1550 no matter how hard I try.

*sigh* It's really sad isn't it?

Let me do the maths. You banned yourself two days ago, and you're already back?

I do agree with the original topic poster. As AOM gets older and older, it's easier to get a higher rating. The very best players go onto newer games, encouraged by the newness of the game. Plus, for the very elite professionals, there's no money left in AOM anymore. All the cash prizes for tourneys are for AOE3 now.
