Their special works on fricking heros! How are you supposed to kill,I mean, you can, but they are way too good.

They are kinda strong but their special is only a shockwave. I mean look at Lampades, Mummy, Medusa, and Argus. All of thier shepcials are instant death. Why do atlantenas get 2 instant death myth and norse get none?

As good as they are, they only have 45% Pierce armor!

FAILURE is not an option, it comes bundled with the software.

pff, they are gay. Only 300 gold and 25 favor for a 30 crush that has a uber ghey special that works on heroes. i know what you mean. The atty noob often spams 4-5 of them. I honestly save bolt for a heka giants cause there so bad. It's espescially bad against Possy because he lacks uber Mythic hero. Sad thing is if the atty player had more micro he could literally win almost every battle if he was careful with them

BTW it's a bug that they affect heroes, but ES was to lazy to fix it

I don't acually think its a bug. If it were a bug, you would assume the "Rate" would be left to "All," which is present in almost every attack action. But instead there's a whole seperate line that allows the Heka Gigantes to use its attack against hereos (quoted from protox):

<action name="BuckAttack">
<param name="MaximumRange" value1="2"></param>
<param name="Damage" type="Hack" value1="20"></param>
<param name="AttackAction"></param>
<param name="ChargeAction"></param>
<param name="NoWorkOnFrozenUnits"></param>
<param name="NoWorkOnStoneUnits"></param>
<param name="Rate" type="AbstractVillager" value1="1.0"></param>
<param name="Rate" type="HumanSoldier" value1="1.0"></param>
<param name="Rate" type="MythUnitInfantry" value1="1.0"></param>
<param name="LinearShockwave"></param>
<param name="Damage" type="Crush" value1="25"></param>
<param name="DamageBonus" type="Hero" value1="0.50"></param>
<param name="DamageBonus" type="MythUnit" value1="3"></param>
<param name="Rate" type="Hero" value1="1.0"></param>

The rate to "hero" is set to one, not zero. Which makes me wonder if it was intentional. (The parametre "Rate" determines what unit/unit types the action in question can be used on.)

ok...And yeah I think Atlanteans are too OP cause the Heka-Gigantes always seems to work on me and I spam buildings(I'm Poseidon)so whenever I get to mythic and my opponent is on mythic as atlantean they make either behemoths or Hekas or even worse both.

Well wether it's called a bug or not, it's bs. No other MU special works on heroes except that one.

The special even works on Osiris. Try it. A bouncing god is entertaining to watch

Do hekas get attack for each arm or no? So like is it multiplied by 4 or whatever for each attack?

You can find all info on Heka Gigantes on the List of all strategy guides - MU units thread, where they already have declared Heka to be OP.
I play Thor and have found that Heka is vulnerable to a fully armoury upgraded Hersir, same is true for Greek heroes.
Also, Heka is vulnerable to Frost Giants plus all petrifying and other 1shot=kill MU units.
Last, but not least, Valkyries don't get flung by them but stay in place, they also do the same with Titan's special attack, but they do take the damage.

most myth units are not affected by their special attack.

I love heka gigantes, I would gather up about 30 of them and run throught enemy's city destroying all of his buildings, and if I wanted his troops off of them, I would just have them pound the ground and knock them back.

If players have ample priests in their army there really is not too much trouble with the hekagigantes unless you are at a 4-2 town center disadvantage so as to give the attie player lots of favor. Norse on the other hand can have trouble because Hersir generally are crappy. Greeks have the unique units with beast slayer plus uber unique heroes. Possy gets Atalanta to quickly run to the giants or archer to shoot from distance while Zeus and Hades have good mythic heroes. Other attie can use stymphs and hero arcus.

yeah right , let's do 150 heka gigantes , even delete your peon before building your army , lololol that's op lolol !

no , they are not op , they are ubeeeeeeeeeeeeeer ( i mean ubbbbbbbbbber)

or not .

best counter to heka are MU sunce heka need favor.

and what does require the only athlanteans counter to your MU ?

so its like they need this damn favor , and they gain it with TC.

what does cost a TC ? more resourses.
building a tc mean you have less resourses.
less resourses mean less soldiers.
less soldier mean death.

and what if the atty players do a 5vs1 TC in archaic? OMAGAD YOU HAF LOST FEARZOR TEH HEKA PUWWA !!!!!!!!

Yeah, u got a good conclussion there ^^

You better be sarcastic, because he didn't make any sense.

posted 05 September 2006 07:36 PM EDT (US)     17 / 24
yeah that made no sense, and wasn't true, the more tc's the more villagers, thus more resources.
posted 05 September 2006 08:51 PM EDT (US)     18 / 24
yeah my.kitty rights. And its not less soldier its more cause of the extra pop and you can make more vils and if your econ is already good b4 you should make up the resources in no time, and then out army them =)
posted 06 September 2006 07:21 AM EDT (US)     19 / 24
They are very strong, but as long as you have enough:
Priests, Greek Hero's, Greek special Units with Beastslayer,
Ballista, or Arcus hero/stymphallian bird you should be alright.

posted 06 September 2006 05:27 PM EDT (US)     20 / 24
so , according to what you say , rushers should make more tc because they are fscking dumb ?

ok , that's why Krush is 'OP'.

posted 06 September 2006 05:29 PM EDT (US)     21 / 24
So you rush with hekagigantes? lol

posted 06 September 2006 05:50 PM EDT (US)     22 / 24
when someone say something is op , it's because he encountered it , not because he's using it.

so if you think mythic age unit OP , prevent them getting mythic. and what is the easiest way ? imho: Rushing.

so instead of babling random shit , what about saying constructive things ?

You're not making much more sense than before. Preventing atlantian from getting to mythic? Stay in classical and you will die. He'll still have resources to spare. But even that is beside the point. you said that Hekagigante's weakness is the favor, and to get favor you must build new TC's which you claim is not good.

posted 06 September 2006 06:40 PM EDT (US)     24 / 24

Possy gets Atalanta to quickly run to the giants

lol, even with her mega multiplier, she will be shot down before she can even get it at half health.

Quoted from Tomboulbouk:

prevent them getting mythic.

Dumbest. answer. Ever. Please don't use answers like this cause there the lazy way to answer questions. you don't know the answer to the question, so just pipe down. He got to mythic, so according to you, he's screwed cause your answer was to not let him get mythic. So your logic ain't to smart.
