Yeah, that's true. Another thing is that they can do lots of little things just very well, all at the same time.
There's loads of times when I'm watching a 1800+ game (I'm 1650-1700) and I see things that I think I do so much better (e.g. early villager micro management, or getting techs etc, or having less idle villies), but then I also see many things that I just don't do as well, or strugle with - and the strategy against different Gods and map strategies is something I know I'm nowhere near as good at as most of these experts. Most of the time I just go for it and see what I can do, rather than think too much about what Gods I'm choosing or what I'm going to do on this specific map etc.
Take my love, take my land, take me where I cannot stand.
I don't care, I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me.
Take me out to the black, tell them I ain't comin' back.
Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.
There's no place I can be, since I found Serenity.
But you can't take the sky from me...
