Can't really answer some of those questions rights now. But if you check out the AOM Heaven poll, you will see Gamespot is doing the Civ Showcases Series again, this time for AOM.
If you have been a long time AGER, you may remember (or you can check them out now at http://www.gamespot.com ) the AOK Showcases Series which went into some details about gameplay, civ details, etc, etc.
This will be starting up soon (I will pass a solid date when I know it). Plus to help you pass the time, you will have another reason to visit the ES AOM site weekly starting around the end of Feb. (But now I am getting ahead of myself .

Thanks buddy ol' pal, you're the best!
mattimeo262, think of Gods like civilizations from AOK. They aren't units at all. You choose to worship a god like you would choose a civ, and you get bonuses or access to certain units from that god.
God Powers are something new. You can call upon your god to grant you a little help once in awhile in the form of meteors that rain down to smite your enemies or rains to help your farms become more productive. (the GPs you get will also be determined by what god you choose to worship)
Make a little more sense now?

THunder, I think ArchAngle did gave lots of hints there:
- visit the ES AOM site weekly starting around the end of Feb (*wink wink*) - Since most of us whom have followed the gaming radio interview know that Alpha will begin in February, this might have something to do with "visit ES site weekly" *wink wink*

A weekly war story...that would be very exciting, especially if ES had a 16 player game, and each participant wrote their own journal about what happened. We would get many perspectives about the same game, giving us a lot of insight to how a normal game may play out. Who else would like this?
