My friends are all RTS vets (wc3) and we have to decided to have some fun this weekend and make an AOE2/AOM:T LAN.
I am solely an FPS gamer and have a lot of catching up to do.
I guess this is the wrong forum to ask but I'm also looking for AOE2:Conquerors strategies.
Anyways, my skill level is getting to Feudal age in 11 minutes in AOE2, and I can beat the AOM:T PC on Moderate.
I'm looking for tips like villagers 1-15 food (please define which source) etc
I feel that if I want to win I must be winning with a rush, or at the very least kill as much of their villagers as soon as possible.
Is it a good strategy to rush soon?
Are there gods I should be looking out for that can't be rushed?
Which god should I pick for the best rushes?
Should I forget about common units and focus on Myth/Heroes solely or what kind of ratio should I be aiming for?
Any general pointers?
Anyways, I haven't been playing much but my idea was to go with Hades because I thought that an archer (forgot name, Tortes or smth?) rush would be most efficient to prevent a wipe / big dmg from a town pull back.
