Hmm, ya, I dl'ed it and I'll watch it now, but before I watch it, just to add on what DQ said:
I wouldn't play norse to start out as I find them the hardest civ micro-wise (often what noobies lack the most). Between making dwaves and villagers and not just villagers and having a scout that also builds, not to mention microing oxe carts correctly, this is a lot of additional micro time that people who are just starting out often lack.
I would reccomend the Greeks for starting out as they are your typical RTS style civ and your build orders are most like the others (unlike atlantean) so you in general just know the amount of vills you need for each resource before advancing; therefore they are easy to branch out from.

Edit: Ok, i watched and basically the points that DQ defined are your biggest problems, then comes your micro. Very poor battle micro, really work on improving that.
Other than that, don't forward build like that ever, you were too far away from his base to make the forward base useful. If anything, make it more in the middle of the map so as to establish map control. But if you are really going for a "sneak effect" I would build more in front of him diagnally, but it does not really matter.
