as a norse player, how often do you use huskarls, for instance, do they replace a longhouse unit or do you use them as support, and what is their ratio to RC? it seems like jarls aren't given much credit so huskarls and rams are the only thing to make out of hill forts. Do you find that huskarls are worth the extra resources? and do you use them for raiding or mainly in battles?

also, against what civs do you find them most effective? (discounting atlantean, because I play vanilla) and are they useful against most units (like RC) or are they an anti-archer-only unit?

huskrals are always a must for early heroic. Wood is usually plenty and u can use food for upgrading ur natually weaker army. They are also the only straight counter for norse against archers so ofc they are invaluable. Also work great when fighting under tc/tower/fortress fire.
