I know the game is over half a year away, but I think from what we've seen and know so far we can start making up some strategies or least some predictions as to what the strategies will be Bruce said the Pharoah might do things like speeding up building processes. Perhaps the Egyptian player could use this to actually rush instead of turtle (it has been said that Egypt is the turtling civ.) Forward barracks or ranges or whatever could get put up faster if you sent forth a pharoah and a forward builder right at the start. The pharoah could protect the villager against wild animals (whatever is analogous to wolves). When the villager is done building the military structures he could start building monuments (that is, favor-generating structures). Once the timing is worked out you could have a couple of scarabs to take out the enemy buildings at just the right times. A few things we don't know that could affect this: How long does it take to build a monument? Too long and it would be more effective to have pharoah at home speeding up the homefront economy. How many and how fierce will the wild animals be? We don't know whether the wolves (and jaguars) from AoK will be toned down or increased in strength. Bruce said the Egyptian player would have a way to get a pharoah back, but I think it would be pretty devestating to lose him so early in the game. One of the few units that we In any case we can say that the Medusa is best for fighting a small number of powerful units rather than a large number of mediocre units. Probably the same can be said for the Frost Giant (although in the Aussie video it took him an awfully long time to freeze a unit) and the Cyclops (who in the same SS mini-series picks up and hurls a Scorpion-Man). So for a Greek counter to an MU rush (which I'm sure will be a popular strat, even if not feasible) would be to make Medusę as well as heros. We don't know what age the Medusa comes in, but Greeks can also make heros at their TC, which are now the counters for MUs.
