Thanks for your reply, when the game starts, and if there aren't any huntings around, should i leave the vills idle till find them? becuase when i can't find them fast i just go berrys

I thought chickens are hunted and therefore are the same as hunting giraffes elephants etc in terms of speed ( aside for each one having only 100 food)

Yup, despite the tool tip actually saying they are hunt, as this is actually false.

And this may be beside the point, but I usually also just avoid monkeys as they end up getting gathered slower than berries would because they are so damn hard to gather properly. This is due to you having to babysit your vills when shooting these as your vills will end up walking like a map-length away to get the killing shot on the monkey. Therefore, value just about every food source ahead of monkeys, even berries and chickens.
p.s. I think this should be fixed in one of the upcoming fan patches, I'm sure we would all appreciate monkeys with less [pierce] armor.
