Along with the recent We first saw this guy a while ago on the ES page. But below you can see his first appearance to date in an actual game screenshot. Conclusions? I actually don't have any. But this is at least confirmation trolls exist in the game and aren't just a concept that appeared and was dismissed. In this particular screenshot we notice the same gather point near where both gold miners and woodcutters are operating. So will AoM use storage pit style drop points as with AoE? It's definitely a tech tree structure. Flaming arrows? Really weird graphics animation? Bright yellow fletchings? We are told in the article that unit improvements are a lot different than the system adopted in AoE/AoK; giving your infantry shields, giving them longer spears etc were given as more distinct upgrades. Going by that logic, is this is the effect of some archer upgrade? We've been noticing for a while now statues appearing on town centers. A random thought that occurred to me is that these might have some significance...I mean, why else put them there? My thought was what if these statues have some correlation to your deity choice? Unlikely but possible. Note also in the We have occasionally seen small cairns or statues or similar small structures in all three cultures, which could just as easily be eye candy as have significance to one's deity choices. Perhaps as a mutation of that, statues on your temple appear to correlate with your sub-deity choices. I could be making something out of nothing with this last point
