Does hoarding and destroying resources count as a strategy? I do it frequently as a way of telling the computer player "Up yours" but my computer won't work in multiplayer (I was given a tip for getting multiplayer working but I haven't had a chance to check it out) so i have no way of finding out how good a strategem this is.
What I'd like to know is how effective it is to destroy and hoarde resources, things like grabbing up all the herdable livestock or killing animals in enemy territory so that their gatherers/villagers/citizens to hurt food and other resource supplies.
And of course there are Godpowers that technically do the same, forest fire, walking woods, plague of locusts, ecetera destroy resources as well. And of course you can destroy resources by using a Collosus' ability to eat trees and gold to heal itself. Eats up wood and gold pretty quickly if you've got a lot of them.
