Hi there,

I'm still pretty new and learning (ie a bit sh*t). I just noticed you can garrison troops in the Helepolis (I mosty play hades). Is there any real benefit to this? I stuck 5 archers inside and was very dissapointed they weren't firing arrows out the windows.

I'm guessing its a waste of time but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Many thanks

It doesn't have a huge impact on the game partly because once you get helopois the game has turned into a unit spam.

But you could garrison troops inside before a fight and let your opponent think he has an edge in numbers then ungarrison them once fight begins.

Having one around to garrison low hp units during lightning storm is very nice. More of a bloodsport tactic though.

Also, kinda like when eggy players garrison SoO into seige towers when he is targeted, you can also do the same with the ranged heroes.

Idk if garrisoning raises the helepolis attack, I think in the old age of empire series you could garrison units into seige and their attack would raise. I doubt it for this though.

Not the victory but the action;
Not the goal but the game;
In the deed the glory

focusing on garrisoning and un-garrisoning your units is a huge waste of time

unless your micro is freaking awesome and you use it as a micro

Garrisoning archers does raise it's attack but it's not very efficient.

In/out works great in bloodsport, but I wouldn't recommend bothering with it in supremacy.

I would.

Put something like 5 slingers in siege.

Attack TC.

Villies come and try to kill siege. TC wastes arrows on attacking 95% armored siege. Now you just ungarrison slingers, kill vilies, regarrison.
