That guy completely missed the point IMHO.
It is as if the devs wanted someone that doesn't know a lot about the game to rate it. The reason why I think he doesn't know a lot about the game is because of his terrible gameplay. It really makes me think that when he played the game he only played the campaign and after that went straight into the editor creating 40 niddhogs and SoO and made them fight while casting wrath of the gods godpowers all over the place. He also mentioned a few things about the rts side of the interface. Someone that knows a little bit about the ranked online play of AoM knows that there are enough interface modifications available and the only reason why the devs did not include one of those is because they wanted to keep the nostalgia for the old casual/design gamers.
That the devs searched for someone that did not know a lot about the game it turned out badly because he only mentioned the visuals and that nothing else really changed, and eventually said that people should not buy the game if they already owned the old version because it's not worth it... But that's just really stupid. I think most of the people that already own the game and really loved it, buy the game because they want to play with the new community, after all multiplayer is what made AoM really shine.
He does say that if you did not play the old game that you should buy this game but honestly I think most of the newcomers are scared away when he told them nothing changed because it would look like another money grab...
Now back to the reason why the people who loved the game buy it, this means less community and thus reviews like this and those steam post that QQ about the price are effectively killing the game before it is released...
We cannot rely on luck to be successful.
