So I have been playing this game again recently after awhile and I find I have problems with Norse in general. Both playing against Norse and playing as Norse. I usually like to play Ra. That is my main, but I'm fine on Atlantean and Greek as well. Norse is just difficult for me for some reason, especially on Random god.

I get the impression that you're supposed to harass Norse villagers (because they're generally unguarded), but that's hard to do because Norse is always extremely aggressive. Norse is also the only civ that I'll make Barracks units and Classical fight against because they're that aggressive. Usually it'll be Hersir and Raiding Cavalry, but Food is generally too tight to run Spearmen and Axemen both. I think you generally need to still semi-FH against Norse even while making Barracks units.
But then they go Heroic, get Flaming Weapons, and we all cry.

Ra is my main for a number of reasons. The super fast camels/chariots are amazing for raiding especially combined with desert wind. The early farms/Rain FH is a favorite strategy of mine. The Priests able to empower is brilliant for economy. And the cheap monuments is very good against Oranos who has practically no answer to a Sphinx early aggression. That's basically it.
I don't like playing Isis just because it's super op. I'm not a fan of playing op gods, I like trying to make less common strategies work. And I have no bloody clue how to play Set.

Ra is pretty much the only civ that can get away with using camels, camels are mediocre units, Ras camels actually has potential.
