No, he's right. Bruce Shelley said that Naval Warfare is basically the same as what it was in AoK.

Do not fear though. ES has said many times that naval battles are more fun then in AoK. I think AoM just keeps the same basic structure in that you have a boat that shoots arrows, a siege boat, and a <insert boat function here> boat. They said that their earlier plans to make a boat function according to what was on it changed because it was to much micromanagement and it wasn't very fun.

That sucks. I was hoping that they would have that it would be really cool, plus it would be more like the boats at that time, they could be used for anything depending on what they had in them.

While making boats function based on whatever you put on them sounds cool. It probably wouldn't be as fun as what it sounds. You'd have to pump out extra units and then place them on what boats you want. Plus it would be a lot more expensive.
