An invisible MU; to the player self visible of course but cloaked to enemies. I realize this is would be a bit too "powerfull", but u can compensate that for example by not giving it the ability to attack other units. In stead it would be an excellent scout

Plus the fact that u may also compensate it by not allowing the cloak to be operable within a range of certain gods(MU) or enemy temples. I believe the egyptians already have that.

but attack with a 100 of them and they'd be incredibly deadly.

Too unrealistic. The only way I could see invisibility of any kind in AoM is through the helmet of invisibility, owned by Hades (and used by Perseus). What'd be neat, though, is if the unit itself is invisible, but leaves telltale signs of its presence such as footprints (in snow or sand), u could see its breath (again, if it is cold), or sumthin. That'd be neat to see, I guess.

All of the MUs in the game are real Egyptian, Norse, or Greek beliefs. They don't simply make things up.

"Too unrealistic"

LOL we are talking about Mythological entities.

"All of the MUs in the game are real Egyptian, Norse, or Greek beliefs. They don't simply make things up."

Granted, yet not every aspect of the game has to be exactly the same. Clearly the main ideas are based on the "beliefs" but I wouldn't mind a few deviations, its after all only a game

I actually saw one of these units when i went to Gen Con. It was a unit that could be invisible for a few seconds, it was cool, but i don't know if it's still in the game.

God Bless America.

I am the state.

Yea...who wants 100% history? I like games more on the realistic side...but I really don't want too many MUs in this game made up. As long as it's based on something Mythological.

play Starcraft if u want cloaked units...Dark Templars/Observers/Wraiths/Arbiters...or just play AOM w/o cloakin powers

It wouldn't be a real MU also ilolgical and non-sense.

No mythology I know has an invisible creature.

What about spirits? I'm sure you'd be able to find some sort of invisable unit in Greek Hades mythology.

I think what I was trying to say is more like what DarkKnight said-- by unrealistic, I meant that the MU wasn't in any of the mythologies. I second what u said, DK.

Well, then what would be the fun of using an invisible MU?

For the player- Oh they can't see my unit is immune to attacks!

For the enemy- What was he using to strike?!

He said it could be an excellent scout... Hmmm not bad idea but then it would be as a map revealer.

It would be good for a GP but not a MU, i could see it now the helmet of Hades.

You can make your army invisible for a little while.

Whoever reads what I said above should disregard whatever I said, because I probably don't know what im talking about.

I think the helmet of Hades is a relic, maybe it gives you a God Power called "invisibility"(duh!) and maybe then all you MUs are invisible for, say 30 seconds.

A 'Perseus' magic cap' relic might be able to have the effect of turning units 'invisible'...or maybe making invisible within the outer 20% of enemy units' LOS for instance...

Or maybe it decreases the LOS of units.
