I was looking through the Microsoft AoM Site, where I found a link to this review by CG Online. It had a bunch of screenshots (presumbaly from their magazine) I haven't seen before, so I'm assuming most of you haven't either.

What purpose do you think these types of units will serve?

Methinks this to be the Egyptian flying scout. Have we seen this unit before?

I'm thinking this is a greek shrine at which villagers worship for favor...?

Your thoughts?

Sigh. All the hard, hard work I go to (Okay, so that's a lie. Sue me) on the units and buildings pages and no one ever looks at them.

Trade cart, mobile resource cart, trade cart.

We have, here. Both the screens from the CGOnline preview and the one from the ES site are very old. It could easily have been cut. That aside, it's not a phoenix. Phoenix looks like this.

Bah. Do you expect me to do the obvious thing and look in the units page?

They must be from when I took leave from computing life. Oh well.

we have discussed this flying unit before. We didn't get to any conclusions though. In my opinion its a mummy but that doesn't explain why its flying. Maybe it was some special move or ability. Not sure.

It seems very small to be the Roc, I think the Roc must be a big unit.

Yes, 'cause it's a transport unit.
At least I hope so.

The Roc ate elephants according to the legend, so that small bird can't be the Roc.
I think it's a volture or a mythological creature based on another desert bird.

Most of the screenshots are new, but they're similar to ones we've seen before IMO. (one of them is from Ra's showcase)

Hey TSD, I see your units page.

Well, I think the Roc has yet not appeared in any SS so maybe will have to wait for watching it, but logically it must be a really big unit not a small one, I think even bigger than the Elepahant.

Quoted from TSD:

Trade cart, mobile resource cart, trade cart.

Does that mean that each culture/mythological group (not sure of the correct term) will have three units to transport money/goods as opposed to the one trade cart from AoK?
