yeah, hairy scary man, so it's NOT that good. It doesn't make cav.archers invincible. It's just that it'll be cool and realistic.
to Kaziglu Bey:
Q:Reasons it would not be unbalanced.
*Very few units could do it(chariots, elephants, some MU's)
Doesn't matter. Give me one unit that can do it well and it's a problem
A:As i said, really slow speed, really low accuracy, and it will be balanced and NOT the superarcher that you seem to think they will become.
Q:I agree that it wouldn't matter much if slow moving units could do it. But then, why bring it in at all? Why should an elephant rider be able to do it and not a horseback archer
A:If horseback archers are reduced in speed so greatly it would be at the same speed wile motionf iring as the elephant archers are during motion fire, then you CAN have horseback archers / chariot archers have motion fire and again, NOT worry about superarchers.
Q:Reduced accuracy
Topic covered well earlier. How much would it have to be increased? Probably a lot more than people think
A:If you mean decreased, as I said, 10-30% of the *original* accuracy would be all right. Actually, I am thinking it might be way too low.
Q:You don't need to win over an opponent by destroying the buildings. You use this factor to get the upper hand and then it's just a matter of time before the rest of your army can assault the main base with an unbeatable force.
You could use MUs(their must be some with pertinent abilities) against them
The really fast or ranged ones, yes. Most others would be in trouble against a much less expensive force.
A:They are not superarchers, this just means archers don't have to be massacred when caught up to by heavy cav, etc, and it's more realistic while NOT harming gameplay, or not severely. Players would only use this when (1) they are retreating and can afford to do this and not get caught, (2) they just feel like harrasing really slow units.
