"There is absolutely no proof backing up evolution..."
Then what do you call homo habilis? Homo erectus? The Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons? Those skeletons of our ancestors weren't created by some mad scientists. The evidence is legit, and the conclusions based on the evidence is perfectly reasonable. Now to your other points:
1) I lack the astronomy know-how to contest this.
2) Do you have proof to back this up, an article, perhaps? Carbon dating is normally quite reliable, but with any system, errors are possible.
3) Speaking of the Bible, we don't even know who wrote the book of Genesis, and the creation story itself has been told for millenia. On the other hand, we know specifically who wrote articles and journals giving proof that evolution existed, and such proof was written within the last couple hundred years. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out which source is more factually reliable. Also note, however, that the Bible also declares slavery a holy practice (Ephesians 6:5-7). So forgive me for not taking everything in the Bible literally.
4) Darwin came up with the theory of evolution, but he based it on first-hand experiences and scientific fact. America has allowed the theory of evolution to be taught in schools, which is silent testimony to the reliability of Darwin's work (if it were false, then would the schools have it in the cirriculum? Noooooo).
5) The depth of the Grand Canyon, revealing the layers of rocks that it cuts into, has given the scientists an idea of just how old the canyon is. Not meteorites.
6) "Thousands of years ago" is a fairly loose term. Thousands of years ago can mean the era of the empire of Ancient Egypt, or it could mean the era of the Neanderthals. That phrase doesn't mean jack diddley to me. Be more precise, and offer proof, if possible. And once again, the book of Genesis offers little to no verifiability, and Genesis is where Noah's story is located.
Please know that I, too, do not intend to disrespect anyone in any way.
