I couldn't choose. The building would be useful if you had guys defending your town that needed it and it would be a better healing building, but it would be useless if you wanted to start a long campaign in enemy territory. Whereas a monk-like guy could follow at a safe distance but he would also be slower to heal large armies. I think the coolest thing would be to have both, but so far Im pretty sure they wont put in a building. Some of the civs might have a guy that heals though.

Doesn't Egyptian priests heal? (but not convert)
