A donkey (or a mule) carrying resources. Remind me the donkeys @ Settlers 2.
I guess they can carry resources from the villagers (at the place they collect the resource), to the nearest storage structure.
It means the Norse aren't the only ones with more than one economic unit (Villies/dwarves/resource carts). The Egyptians have Pharoah and the priests (empowering structures), and the Greeks got the mules.
Do you think the Egyptians will also have them? Do you have suggestions for more "economic units" in the game?

The mysterious unit from the 1st screenshot, Leviathan probably.

Theater (in the far right)

Now we can sit back and see Oedipus.
Maybe you can send your villies to perform there and gain favor from the Gods.
Is it a wonder?

Interesting stuff LK. I really hope those aren't donkeys, i don't see myself ever using them if they are.

God Bless America.

I am the state.

I edited the topic and added the transports pic.

Donkeys are considered more intelligent than horses.
They seem pretty useful for woodcutters and hunters.

I thought that was a market next to the donkeys. So maybe they're an alternative (or a replacement?) for trade carts?

Stormboy: Seems possible. Greek trade carts in prevous screenshots are already carried my mules, so it's possible they changed their graphics and took the cart away.
On the other hand, it's also likely that they stand near the market only for the "market atmosphere", and they are resource carriers, as I think they are.

About the donkeys, look at the market in screenshot #19:

There seems to be the same thing on the egyptian market, only with two camels.

Good notice.

Too bad we can't see whether the camels carry a trade cart or not.

She stands near a temple, maybe after a villager pray for a long time he/she gets "enlighten", literally.
Of course, it could be just a scenario editor trigger.

The donkeys may just be eye candy. Like the unmanned horse in The Conquerors and I believe those camels are attached to carts. Its just that the carts are behind the building and all you see are the camels.

The Lighthouse also Illuminates the ships - maybe it also has effect on Ships's powers (??)

Trade carts will be pulled by mules. But when on their own expect them to be same as AoK's horses

Theater would most probably be a wonder or an editor only building.

umm....anything new??

Except for the lotsa animals screeny

I think it's funny how it looks like one villie would take up 4 rows of seating in the theater.

Rays of light on regular units- we've seen it before in Swinger's warstory. [screenshot | The war story]
The light on that villager is much stronger, though, and of course it could be something different.

Mules mystery solved by dustman .

Quote:

Somebody mentioned this earlier I believe. The mule acts as a mobile gathering point. Unlike the oxcart though, it has to be emptied. So your villies load up the mule and the mule takes the resources to wherever and then it returns to be filled up again

Hhm... if the camel carries a cart, why we don't see a fluo shadow thing? A) The camel doesn't carry a cart. B)If you take a screenshot, the fluo shadow dissapears, C)There are no fluo shadows, because you can rotate and zoom the screen.

EDIT: I added possibility C)
