Well I have been very bussy looking at the pic's and stats of the game. One interesting thing that I have found was the composition of the fortresses. What do they mean a "hail" of arrows? 5 or more? And what about stone as a mineral?
Well this may sound dumb but I'm just confussed.

yes, a hail of arrows means more then 1...as for stone as a resource(I think that is what you are asking), that was out for a long time.

Doctor-"We need to get these people to the hospital"
Nurse-"Hospital what is it?"
Doctor-"Its a big building where sick people are kept, but thats not important right now"

Norse fortress actually fires only 2 arrows at a time...I think the others fire 5 or something.

Norse fortresses really had better have another advantage, like build time or something (who knows?), to make up for that particular disadvantage, imo.

2 arrows at a time?!?! yeah, there must be a different bonus for that, more armor against attack, more hitpoints, units pumping out like Goth infantry. ooohhh, the sweet precious sound of barracks pumping out guys 3 per second.

Norse Hill Fort is apparently cheaper, quicker to put up than Norse/Greek fortresses. But it has less HP and attack, as well.

Incidentally Towers and TC's (ungarrisonned...still not sure whether you can garrison TC's) fire two arrows.

as with all norse buildings, they are relatively cheaper, faster to build, but weaker in return.

The Norse Hill Fort was described as being hardly better than a tower, however to make up for this I'm sure they are quick and cheap, and thus with you armies you can quickly throw them up, they're still fairly formidable and even better you can then pump out elite units and rams at your front lines.

Do they fire the two arrows at different targets?

if it was AoK, they could, but not always would.
