1. Trainers will not work - The server alone will know where all the units and resources are located. Since all the info is not being kept updated on your local box all the time, but only what it needs to render the screen and minimap, a trainer won't be able to reveal the fog of war. So cheaters with trainers will not be able to see everything or change things.
2. Connection lag will only affect the slow player - Since the server is doing all the melee, pathing and other stuff, a slow connection speed will just delay that player's commands and screen update.
I am just guessing on this, and a lot depends on how ES is implementing their servers. Still it should be a lot harder to cheat since no one player hosts the server on his box. Does anyone know the particulars of how they are doing it?
