Obviously this brings up questions, not only with issues pertaining to the campaigns I have in mind but in general.
First off:
Will you be able to turn off certain mythological aspects in the game? Obviously you won't for some things (like picking the minor god when you go to another age).
Specifically: disabling god powers for a player, disabling making some mythological creatures for a player. I'm actually more concerned about god powers, in AOK you could disable techs and stuff so i guess that would cover MUs but in the middle of the siege of masada i dont want the greeks to send a lighting storm into the town.
That's the main one that has to do with the scenarios i had in mind. Other stuff that's also important:
- A trigger to give a villager/gatherer/dwarf a certain amount of resources
- (dont know if this was in AoK/AoC) tell unit to gather a resource/build something, etc.
- change ALL of the units stats. Not like in AoC when you could only do certain things. I mean it all: name, hitpoints (decrease and increase), attack (decrease and increase), range (d and i), armor (d and i), ranged armor/shield (d and i) and any other stuff i didnt mention. I would also like this feature NOT to be a trigger. What would happen if you wanted a whole army of units that were changed the same? It would be a big micro to copy paste all the units AND assign the same trigger to all of them. So i propose: when you click on a unit after you place it down you have the option of tweaking it's stats.
Other eyecandy:
a campfire
dustcloud when many units are marching together. this would only happen when you are marching in sand or dirt. Imagine a whole phalanx of hoplites marching while a dustcloud rises around them. Obviously it can't be too big else you wouldnt be able to see your units...
That's all, sorry for any uncapitalized letters or IM speak I had to type this up fast.
