Or they could not include one and charge less for the game.
I liked it though.

When I bought the expansion to Alpha Centauri, they had a whole new tech tree poster. So I don't see why ES can't include a new insert card.

Have a digital document instead that is updated with every patch. Then print it out for reading in the bath or wherever. Paper prints will always be out of date.

Your argument seems to be that you want an "updated card". AoM is a new game. Do you want an updated card for AoK:TC to ship with AoM?

The fact is that neither manuals or cards are up to date with the games they comes with. This goes for RTS games in general. I say they should choose with direction to go with and either not give out any numerical data about the units at all, or provide a well updated digital version where the data corresponds with the game as it is updated. I would be fine with both because in the first case such data can be a great thing for fansites to collect, while having inaccurate data in a manual or on a card only serves to irritate me as I would sooner or later fall for the urge to try to figure out the balance between units by looking at it. If I'm handed data I want it to be correct or I'd rather not have it at all, because I could find it out for myself instead in that case.
